OFF SPACE proudly presents an exclusive handcrafted wooden salad bowl, the result of four months of meticulous collaboration with artisan Dong Yue.

Through extensive discussions on craftsmanship and usability, we refined the selection, concept, and production process to achieve perfection.

Beyond its exceptional handmade craftsmanship, we carefully selected premium Burmese teak, renowned as the “King of Woods” for its remarkable durability and stability.

The salad bowl undergoes a high-temperature steaming process, which raises the disrupted wood fibers, followed by precision hand-sanding to ensure a smooth finish.

The surface is then coated three times with food-grade Japanese Ohtani plant oil, preventing rough textures when in contact with hot food. This meticulous treatment makes it safe for direct food contact, ensuring a seamless and pleasant dining experience.

With its warm, enduring wood texture, the bowl can be perfectly nested with any standard metal salad bowl for versatile use.
